It is nice to see that Arsene Wenger can have a laugh just like anyone else despite the huge amount of pressure on him during the transfer window.
Just a week or so back, he was being relentlessly asked by journalists if he was going to sign any players this January, and the Frenchman chirped back that he would not mind some help from the people gathered at his press conference.
“Unfortunately no [we haven’t made progress yet],” he said when quizzed. “But if you have a good idea, you can text me somewhere to the club.”
Not exactly the kind of stuff to promote a good belly laugh, but the Arsenal boss has now upped his game a bit after pictures were sent out to promote the 60th anniversary of the Citroen DS by convincing a few of his players to dress up in some vintage kit and pose next to the car.
Yet while Theo Walcott, Laurent Koscielny, Mathieu Flamini, and David Ospina put on the smiles for the camera Wenger felt he had been left out so somehow discreetly manages to get himself in the background.
