Former Arsenal striker and now club living legend Thierry Henry thinks that Barcelona forward Pedro is the perfect signing for Louis van Gaal’s Manchester United.

The 28-year-old World Cup winner is on the verge of leaving the Nou Camp in search of first team football after having fallen down the pecking order at the Catalan giants since the arrival of Brazilian sensation Neymar, and Uruguayan hit-man Louis Suarez.

“Van Gaal went on to buy players this summer that can suit the way he wants to play – that’s why he wants Pedro,” Henry is quoted as saying by Marca.

“Pedro knows those tactics, he can do what Van Gaal wants.

“I’ve seen him at Barcelona, he was putting pressure on and staying out wide – he has it.

“It’s the same with [Bastian] Schweinsteiger – Van Gaal knows that if he asks Schweinsteiger to do something, he’ll do it.”

Manchester United meanwhile has still not made an offer for the Barcelona winger who they value ay £17 million, while Barcelona says they will not sell unless Pedro’s £22 million buyout clause is met.
