Arsenal, West Ham

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is plotting a January move for West Ham defender Winston Reid with the Frenchman hoping to sign him for as little as £4 million.

Wenger has targeted the centre-half, because he believes the Hammers would rather get something for him now than see him leave for free during the summer.

The Gunners have scouted Reid in every match he has played since November, and are ready to make their move for the 26-year-old in January.

Meanwhile West Ham are eager for Reid to sign a new contract , but New Zealand international wants £60,000 per-week and a £1 million signing on bonus.
