Manchester United are plotting to sign Everton right-back Seamus Coleman, and are prepared to offer the Toffee’s £25 million for the Republic of Ireland international.
According to reports in the Daily Star, United tried to sign the 26-year-old in the summer and were prepared to offer Marouane Fellaini as part of any deal.
Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal considers Colman a better fit for the formations he wants to play and is at the moment using Antonio Valencia and Rafael in the right-back position.
Meanwhile Everton are also keen to bring 19-year-old Adnan Januzaj to Goodison Park on a season long loan, which is something LVG might consider if it helps get a deal done for Coleman.
