According to reports Arsenal has opened up negotiations with Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech after the 32-year-old was given permission to talk to other clubs over a possible transfer.

In recent days there has been plenty of talk linking Cech with Arsenal and whether or not his move to a rival club would be sanctioned by the bosses at Stamford Bridge.

Meanwhile Manchester United has today been linked with the Blues No.2 as it appears their current shot stopper and club player-of-the-year David De Gea is moving towards joining Real Madrid.

Arsenal would however be the perfect destination for the big man, as he would be able to maintain his normal routine only changing the way he drives to work and back each day.

A fee of £10 million being paid to Chelsea is being discussed, and if that is agreed upon and the Czech international agrees terms it would mean Wojciech Szczesny would probably be sent out on a season long loan, with Southampton the most logical destination following an injury to Fraser Forster likely to see the 27-year-old miss next season.
