Fed up and frustrated over how he is being treated Arsenal forward Lukas Podolski stormed out of Arsenal training on Wednesday.

The German international missed training complaining of a groin injury and has not travelled with the team to Southampton for their match on New Year’s Day.

The Daily Mirror claims Podolski thinks that the Gunners are blocking a potential move to Inter Milan putting his future in jeopardy, and is annoyed he does not get enough playing time despite winning last summer’s World Cup with Germany.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger may have been referring to the 29-year-old on Tuesday when he said players need to be professional.

“Be professional as long as you are somewhere, to give your best to justify your wages and your love for the club.”

Inter Milan manager Roberto Mancini wants Podolski, but Wenger has said their efforts to sign him are not serious calling it a “joke”.

This suggests that Inter are nowhere near Arsenal’s valuation, otherwise a deal would have been finalized already.
