Reports coming out of Spain carried by METRO suggest that Paris Saint-Germain is ready to accept an offer from Arsenal for Edinson Cavani.

The Uruguayan international is second fiddle to Zlatan Ibrahimovic at the club with manager Laurent Blanc said to have lost his patience with the 27-year-old, and is now ready to let him leave for around the same price they paid Napoli for his services in the summer of 2013.

The French champions are now waiting for Arsene Wenger to make an offer of around £50 million once the transfer window opens in January.

The Gunners have money to spend with Arsene Wenger’s main concern being a defender and a holding midfielder, but a striker like Cavani does not come along that often so it will be interesting to see if Wenger tries to sign him.

Meanwhile it is looking like Lukas Podolski could be on his way to Inter Milan where the German international will hope to get more playing time than he has had at the Emirates.
