Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez says he is fit and ready to go when second place Arsenal take on third placed Manchester City at the Emirates on Monday night for what is seen as a must win game for both teams in their bid to keep the title dream alive.

The Gunners boss revealed at his press conference yesterday that he may have to stop the Chilean international from returning to action after having limped off the pitch with a hamstring strain in the game against Norwich City at Carrow Road last month.

Meanwhile without Sanchez in the side Arsenal have won their last three matches leading us to believe that should Wenger risk playing the former Barca man it would be a mistake that could see him out for an even longer period.

Speaking about the possibility of Sanchez playing, Wenger said: “There is a very slight chance for Sanchez to be in the squad again, but it is too early to be sure about it.

“He is running, but not participating in full training.

“I believe that is normal, that he wants to play. You want him to be keen to play. He respects all the decisions I make and that is what I want from him.

“Will I make the decision? Yes, because he says he’s always ready.”
