Both Arsenal and Tottenham are preparing what the Daily Express calls last minute bids for Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata after Serie A giants Juventus lodged what they called a £16.5 final offer for the Spanish youngster.

The Italian Champions are quite certain that they are in pole position to land Morata after allowing Real Madrid to insert a £20 million buyback clause into the contract.

It now remains to see how eager the Premiership duo are to bring Morata to England, and if they are prepared to up the Italians offer and yet also include a buyback clause of their own.

Real Madrid trainer Carlo Ancelotti meanwhile is known to want to keep the 21-year-old at the Santiago Bernabeu, but knows that the youngster wants to play regular football and that it is impossible given real Madrid’s current squad of star strikers.

We will be keeping our eye on this one as Morata’s departure could open up renewed speculation of Luis Suarez joining Los Blancos.
