With both of the Premiership giants looking to land a big name striker this summer it appears now that after hearing Edinson Cavani’s recent comments about staying at Paris Saint-Germain, that United boss Louis van Gaal will switch his attention to Arsenal summer target Gonzalo Higuain.
With his current club Napoli looking as though they will miss out on Champions League football next season the 27-year-old Argentinian could be looking for a move away from Italy with Gazzetta dello Sport saying that United has now joined Arsenal in tracking the former Real Madrid player.
Napoli for their part will not let Higuain leave without a fight after seeing him score more than 20 goals for the second season in a row.
