According to Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo both Manchester City and Arsenal approached Barcelona in January to enquire whether the Catalan giants would be interested in selling Croatian international Ivan Rakitic.
The versatile midfielder made a name for himself at Sevilla last season with Barcelona snapping him up over the summer for what seems like a cheap 18€ million.
Despite not getting the amount of playing time he got with the Andalucía club Rakitic has said that he has every intention of succeeding at Barcelona.
