Manchester United is gearing up to approach Bayern Munich with a £44.6 million offer for dream striker target Robert Lewandowski.
The 26-year-old Polish international striker has established himself as one of the best finishers in the world during his time with Borussia Dortmund, and now at Bayern Munich.
Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal needs to bring a world-class striker to Old Trafford, and few would argue that Lewandowski does not tick all the boxes in what Manchester United is looking for as the 63-year-old Dutchman rebuilds the team that will not only win the Premiership, but also take them on to Champions League glory as well.
While speaking on Polish television yesterday his agent Cezary Kucharski mentioned that his client would certainly consider moving to the English Premiership saying: ‘With a player of Robert’s class, the truth is that not a lot of work is required because really there are only two directions in which he could go in the future, England or Spain, and only with Bayern Munich’s acceptance.
‘Robert is one of the most valued strikers on the market who guarantees goals, guarantees assists, excitement.
‘He has shown that over many years during his career.
‘Every year he is an even better player and plays at a higher level and that is very important for other clubs because he has credibility and guarantees at least 30 goals a season.’
If LVG can pull this off Red Devil fans are in for a season of exciting football.
