Agent to footballing super stars Jorge Mendes has confirmed that he is involved in talks with Manchester United over a new deal for Spanish international goalkeeper David De Gea whose current contract runs out the end of the 2015/2016 season sparking plenty of interest from Real Madrid as they look to replace veteran Iker Casillas.
Mendes told Cadena Ser on Sunday night: “I am negotiating with Manchester United about De Gea’s renewal.”
The Portuguese agent added: “It is not true that De Gea has found a deal with Real Madrid. I’m negotiating with Manchester United his extension”
This will come as good news for Manchester United fans; even though the club would go after Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris should De Gea opt for a return to Spain.
