The Website METRO is reporting this morning that AC Milan could be willing to lower their asking price for Italian international striker Mario Balotelli if Arsenal would be willing to make Joel Campbell a part of the deal.

Tuttosport say that the Italian giants are keen on the Costa Rican striker who spent all of last season on loan with Greek club Olympiakos where he put in some noteworthy performances even scoring a goal against Manchester United in the Champions League.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger may already have other plans for the 21-year-old following his showing in this summer’s World Cup, and has already suggested that he will be playing football at the Emirates next season.

‘He will definitely come back to us for pre-season,’ the Arsenal manager said earlier this week.

The question now remains as to whether Wenger would be interested in saving money on Balotelli as it would free up funds to strengthen other parts of the squad.
