LINE-UP: Manchester United team to play Bournemouth

Following their midweek disappointment of losing 3-2 to Wolfsburg and the subsequent elimination from this seasons Champions League, United will be looking to bounce back against lowly Bournemouth and take some of the mounting pressure of embattled manager Louis van Gaal.

Unfortunately for the Dutchman the Gods are yet to smile on the Red Devils this season leaving the 64-year-old to take a motley crew down to the South Coast with Chris Smalling, Matteo Darmian, Luke Shaw, Marcos Rojo, Antonio Valencia and Phil Jones all not available due to injury.

And if that news was not bad enough he will also be missing the suspended Bastian Schweinsteiger and captain Wayne Rooney who is still side-lined nursing an ankle injury.

This all means we are likely to see an inexperienced back-four comprising of Guillermo Valerma, playing alongside Paddy McNair and Daley Blind with winger Ashley Young being moved to play at left-back.

Michael Carrick and the returning Morgan Schneiderlin should be able to offer sufficient protection for the boys at the back allowing arguably United’s biggest weapon in the game against West Ham, Marouane Fellaini to start even if it means pushing Spaniard Juan Mata out wide rather than the central role he played against Wolfsburg.

Memphis and Lingard will both start on the wings with LVG hoping that lone striker Anthony Martial can ease the current tension with a couple of goals.

Bournemouth meanwhile are on a high following their win over Chelsea, but even in a wounded state Manchester United should have enough to make it an easy win for the visitors.
