Speaking about the effect social media is having on the game football managers Tony Pulis and Sean Dyche are angry that players are now wary of going down to the pub because of Twitter.

57-year-old West Brom manager Pulis said: “Ten or 15 years ago you could stand at the end of a bar and have a discussion with someone but I wouldn’t even dream of going in the pub now – you just can’t do it.”

44-year-old Burnley manager Dyche agrees saying that he used to like being able to interact with the fans, but now it is impossible saying: “It is a shame really. Now you are fearful of tweets and as a result it’s harder to give someone an honest view of the game.”
