According to reports Chelsea has met the release clause of Barcelona winger Pedro by making a bid of £22 million for the Spanish international, and is now confident of finishing the deal next week.

Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool were all thought to be interested in the 27-year-old, but it appears as though Chelsea has now won the race according to a report in the Daily Star, who say Chelsea has met the release clause and is offering Pedro a four-year contract to move to Stamford Bridge.
