manchester united,

Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal was tipped to be one of the busiest players during this summer’s transfer window, and he certainly has not disappointed yet.

After three quick signings over the weekend there are still more players on their way to Old Trafford after the Red Devils have only spent half of their allocated transfer money so far.

The latest news from the Northwest giants is that they are hot on the trail of a number nine, and despite all the talk of Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski, Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani is appearing to be the closest to signing.

Next up is Valencia centre-back Nicolas Otamendi, with the Argentinian defender doing everything but sign on the dotted line to join United. This protracted saga should be over this week though as his agent is flying into Manchester to wrap up the deal.

As for Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos, all has gone quiet concerning him and David De Gea with both players currently on their teams pre-season tours, but with Real Madrid desperate for De Gea after having let Casillas join Porto, one of the biggest transfer saga’s of the summer is not over yet.

Finally with all the talk that goalkeeper Victor Valdes could be on his way back to La Liga, the Red Devils have turned their attention to Argentinian international shot-stopper Sergio Romero.

The 28-year-old former Sampdoria player is now a free agent and would make a decent number two at Old Trafford, but LVG needs to think who will replace David De Gea with Slovenian international Jan Oblak looking the obvious choice right now.
