Arsenal has apparently made Real Madrid an offer for 32-year-old defender Alvaro Arbeloa who is set to leave the Santiago Bernabeu this summer and is said to be favouring a return to England after already having played in the Premiership for Liverpool.
Reports are suggesting that he could return to his former club with Napoli also said to be interested in acquiring his services.
While he is no longer a player in his prime, his wealth of experience and the fact he is comfortable playing anywhere on the back-line makes him a viably commodity, and priced at only £3.6 million is a quality player to have on the bench if you need him.
