Despite all the drama going on about who will be the next coach of Manchester United, it has been reported that United are on the verge of completing their first signing of the summer.
According to the Portuguese media A Bola, a deal has almost been completed for the Benfica midfielder Renato Sanches. The Red Devils have had a terrible season when looking at things from the perspective of how heavily Van Gaal spent. To make things right, United are set to be busy in the summer transfer window this year.
Renato Sanches, who is only 18 year old had a breakthrough season at Benfica and has been heavily linked with a move to Old Trafford and other clubs, with Barcelona on the list.
A deal for the player worth about £47.5m is said to be almost complete, according to reports. Benfica president Luis Filipe Vieira wants Manchester United to pay over £32m for the player and the rest in bonuses which will be linked to the player performance and contribution.
Manchester United are in the process of rebuilding their team again after the previous failed signings of Louis Van Gaal and it seems Renato Sanches has the nod of everyone within the club.
Maybe this time, Man. Utd has spent rightly.
