Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has fuelled the rumours that Real Madrid centre-back Sergio Ramos could be on his way to Old Trafford.
Van Gaal has for a long time now been a huge fan of the 29-year-old World-Cup winner and is doing everything he can by using the Spanish giants interest in goalkeeper David De Gea to land the Spanish hard-man.
Ramos is also open to a move after falling out with Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, and would go a long way in showing the Red Devils intent of knocking Chelsea off their high-horse.
Just yesterday while on the clubs pre-season tour of North America, Dutchman van Gaal publically hinted that a deal for Ramos was in the works.
‘It’s a process,’ said Van Gaal.
‘Maybe Mr Ramos is in the process, you never know.
‘I cannot talk about these rumours.’
