Both Wenger and Rodgers need a win

From footylatest.com

Liverpool play host to Arsenal in the biggest clash of the weekend on Sunday.

However, there is a lot more than just three points riding on the match as both Arsene Wenger and Brendan Rodgers have come under heavy fire for their unsatisfactory performance on transfer deadline day, failing to reinforce their squad properly.

Arsenal have 2 points from two goalless draws against Sunderland and Stoke while Liverpool have just one point from their 2-2 draw against City, their first encounter being a nightmare where they were thrashed 3-0 by West Brom. Should we have a winner in tomorrow’s game, one of the managers will be facing the brunt of the fans’ rage.

Both managers will definitely put their best foot forward tomorrow as the prospect of sitting with just 1 point (for Rodgers) and 2 points (for Wenger) does not look good at all.

Arsenal have invested exclusively in forwards this summer, whereas Liverpool have strengthened their midfield and attack. These 3 points will be most essential for both managers as it will buy them some much needed breathing space as they hope to employ their new plans for the coming season.
