Former Manchester United defender Nemanja Vidic is set to return to his old club in January despite only joining Inter Milan last summer.
The 33-year-olsd Serbian has failed to live up to expectations at the San Siro despite all the years he was hailed a hero while playing in the Theatre of Dreams.
The Daily Star is today reporting that Dutch manager Louis van Gaal is eager to resign Vidic in order to help with his current defensive problems and has already held talks with Inter and agreed terms to bring him back to Old Trafford.
While this speculation is yet to be confirmed it will be good news for United fans even if van Gaal only brings him in as a replacement centre-back.
