Leading football agent Phil Smith thinks that Manchester United’s new manager Louis van Gaal will spend big during the remainder of the transfer market despite having already paid £70 for midfielder Ander Herrera and left-back Luke Shaw.
Linked with a move to Old Trafford is Juventus star Arturo Vidal, as well as Borussia Dortmund’s Mats Hummels and Real Madrid winger Angel Di Maria.
Smith has no doubt the 62-year-old Dutchman will be a big player in the transfer market telling talkSPORT:
“Manchester United expect to win the Premier League title and get back into the Champions League, anything less is not really acceptable. Van Gaal will spend big, there’s no doubt about that.”
