…that’s despite Arsenal being owned by an American, with a French manager and only two UK players in the last starting line-up.
Theo Walcott claims Arsenal’s shirts for next season are a nod to the Britishness of the club.
The Gunners, owned by an American, with a French manager, had two UK players in the starting line-up against Norwich.
Walcott, sidelined by injury, unveiled the new strip and said: “I think the blue in particular in the kit reflects a British feel for the club in a massive year for the home nations with the Olympics this summer.
“There’s a lot of historical features, with the hooped socks and blue that’s been in our kits for decades.”
