Swiss Striker could be the answer for Arsenal’s attack

He may not be a name many Gooners will be familiar with but Swiss born to Croatian parents Swiss striker Josip Drmic has been capturing a number of clubs attentions this season scoring 15 times in 26 appearances for Bundesliga club FC Nürnberg.

Still only 21-years-old the young star is set to strike fear into Switzerland’s opponents at this summer’s World Cup in Brazil, and with the tiny country expected to do well his price will be certain to rise.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is one of the Drmic’s biggest fans and after seeing how his club has slipped out of contention for the Premiership title it could not be more obvious that Arsenal needs to buy at least one striker to take all the pressure off of Olivier Giroud.

Arsenal still has of course Yaya Sanogo to play up front, but the young French striker is very similar in style to Giroud making it almost impossible to play the two together.

Drmic on the other hand is a more nimble player despite being 6ft2in with the speed to take on and get passed defenders he is equally at home playing wide as he is in the centre of the park.

The Gunners have been tracking him for months and are now 4/9 favourites with the bookies to sign the youngster before the World Cup kicks off on June 12th.

Have a look at the video below and decide for yourself if he would be right for Arsenal.
