According to Sky Sports Liverpool has agreed to sell Italian striker Fabio Borini to Sunderland for £14 million.

The 23-year-old scored 10 goals for the Black Cats last season while on loan from the Merseyside club impressing manager Gus Poyet enough to want the Uruguayan to make him a permanent presence on Wearside.

Borini was Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers first signing for Liverpool, but suffered an injury-plagued first year at Anfield only making 20 appearances for the club while contributing just two goals.
