Liverpool, Arsenal, Barcelona

With negotiations still continuing between both Liverpool and Barcelona the feeling coming out of Spain is that a deal has all but been agreed to and that the two sides are just formalizing the payment details.

With the news that Chilean international Alexis Sanchez has chosen to move to Arsenal, rather than Liverpool, an all cash deal worth £75 million is now Barcelona’s option if they wish to sign the controversial striker.

Already in the Catalan capital number 9 jerseys with Suarez’s name on them are already for sale in sports shop Futbol Mania the same number Sanchez wore on his shirt for Barcelona.

When talking to Sky Sports News Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague said: “It’s quite clear that Barcelona and Luis Suarez are on the same wavelength.

“Liverpool have given up on him and the figure that Barcelona need to pay has been reported at round £70m to £80m. In any case, that is as much as Liverpool wanted.

“There seems to be an early payment of 40m euros which Barcelona is waiting for the sale of Alexis Sanchez to be able to say ‘here is the money’.

“But, in any case, it is going to happen and Luis Saurez’s family expects it to be confirmed by the end of this week.
