Arsenal, Liverpool

After having been knocked back in their attempt to sign Chelsea striker Romelu Lukaku, Tottenham is now prepared to battle Liverpool for Swansea striker Wilfried Bony believing that the Reds really want to sign Arsenal target Loic Remy.

According to the Daily Mail Tottenham is prepared to pay as much as £18million for the Ivory Coast international after finding out that Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers would rather sign QPR striker and Arsenal target Loic Remy over the 25-year-old Swansea striker.

Spurs are also interested in signing Swansea left-back Ben Davies and are said to be prepared to offer Gylfi Sigurdsson as part of any deal.

Bony aside, it will be interesting to see if Liverpool are prepared to go up against Arsenal for Remy, and where this tangled web might end up as we get down to the serious business of summer transfers now the World Cup is nearly over.
