Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has confirmed that he will be putting his faith in the clubs youth rather than try and bring new players in this January.

The Argentinian manager has a reputation of giving young players a chance, and it has certainly paid of this season with the emergence of Harry Kane, who has proved his point scoring 17 goals in 27 games.

Former Ajax midfielder Christian Eriksen has also become a key player at White Hart Lane with the 22-year-old scoring the winning goal in yesterday’s 2-1 win over Sunderland.

“I am very focused on my players in our squad, we have a strong side,” Pochettino said.

“It is important to recognise the players that have come through the club’s academy.

“We have some real talent and they are starting to knock on my door and this is important for our squad.”
