Sergio Ramos signs New Contract with Real Madrid

It would now seem that Manchester United’s dream of singing Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos has finally be put to bed after Spanish sports daily and Real Madrid mouthpiece Marca claim the 29-year-old Spanish international has signed a new contract at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Ramos was being heavily linked with a move to Manchester United as part of a deal that would see Red Devils goalkeeper David de Gea move in the opposite directions.

Negotiations however hit an impasse last week with the Spanish giants cooling their interest in the United shot-stopper, knowing they can sign him next summer as a free agent.

According to Marca the new contact with Ramos ties him to the club until 2020.
