The former Wales international rolled back the years with a dazzling performance during the 1-0 FA Cup replay win over West Ham on Wednesday.

Old Trafford boss Alex Ferguson claimed his long-serving star is capable of playing on for another year.

Giggs, who turns 40 in November but is out of contract in the summer, said: “I don’t know if I’ll have another year.

“I’m probably enjoying it now more than ever.

“If you don’t enjoy the FA Cup at Old Trafford then you should pack it in, but we’ll see what this season brings.”

Meanwhile, Giggs has backed Wayne Rooney to carry on as United’s penalty taker.

The England forward skied his spot-kick against West Ham on Wednesday — the 10th he has missed out of 27 taken for the Red Devils.

Strike partner Robin van Persie could take over.

But Giggs said: “Wayne under pressure has scored so many crucial penalties for us.

“It’s not so bad when it doesn’t alter the result.

“But Wayne will be concerned because he wants to score goals.”

But legendary former United skipper Roy Keane said: “The manager will be fuming. That will be the last penalty Rooney takes for United.”
