Rumours abounded this morning that Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal will make Dutch international winger Memphis Depay the clubs first signing of the summer paying Eredivisie club PSV £10m for the man they call the Dutch Cristiano Ronaldo.
United striker Robin van Persie has played with his compatriot and is very impressed with the 20-year-old following his performance in Brazil.
“What I like about Memphis is that he picks things up so quickly,” he said.
“What he is doing is very mature for his age. It’s a childhood dream [playing for his country at the World Cup]. We do click well and I really love his beautiful style of play.”
