RVP could return to Arsenal

According to Sundays Daily Mail Robin van Persie could make a shock return to the Gunners next summer.

Columnist Rob Shepherd is reporting that David Moyes plans to completely overhaul the club in the summer and indeed started the process last week by bringing in Juan Mata from Chelsea while hinting that there would be much more to follow in the summer.

The biggest shock sale of course would be that of Robin van Persie should the Dutchman be reunited with Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger.

Moyes it seems is doing everything he can to ensure that Wayne Rooney signs a new contract at Old Trafford, yet is not going out of his way when it comes to dealings with van Persie.

The former Arsenal striker was one of the main reasons United were able to win the Premiership last season, and now finds himself without the two main men who got him to move to United in the first place Sir Alex Ferguson and fellow Dutchman Rene Meulensteen.

It is also believed that Van Persie and his family are missing the life they had in London compared to where they now live in Cheshire, and there have been reports out of Holland that the Dutch striker does not agree with Moyes training techniques either.

It is still a long way till this story is concluded but the outcome will very much depend on what happens with Wayne Rooney.
