Everton striker Romelu Lukaku is already dropping hints that he would like to leave Goodison Park and join a top club.

When speaking after the Toffee’s 1-0 defeat to his former club Chelsea the Belgium international had only good things to say about the Blues despite having to battle for a move away last summer.

‘It was brilliant to play at Chelsea and I had a good reception,’ Lukaku told The Sun.

‘They know I’m a good player but that I want to develop so I can eventually get back to playing for a club like Chelsea.

‘I don’t have a secret ambition to rejoin – there are other clubs in the world. I just want to grow as a player and eventually arrive at a top club again.’

Everton finished fifth in the League last season, but are currently 12th just five points clear of the relegation zone.
