Turkish side Fenerbahce say they are in negotiations to sign Chelsea midfielder Raul Meireles.
Fenerbahce would be able to buy the 29-year-old after the British transfer deadline because the Turkish window is open until midnight on Wednesday.
Reports suggest an £8m bid has been submitted for the Portuguese international.
A Fenerbahce spokesman told BBC Sport: “The club are in talks and are hopeful that a deal can be completed.”
Meireles moved to Chelsea from Liverpool for a reported £12m on transfer deadline day a year ago.
On Friday, Chelsea allowed midfielder Michael Essien to join Real Madrid on a season-long loan.
