Ronaldo’s hat-trick in Saturday’s 4-1 win against Seville showed the ex-United superstar will be on fire in Wednesday’s Champions League tie.

Spain ace Ramos said: “Cristiano is going through the best moment of his career and we are so lucky to have him at Real Madrid.

“United is the most important game of our season. We shouldn’t go crazy. We know it’s going to be 180 minutes not just 90.

“It’s true that over here it would be super-important to keep a clean sheet and try to maintain the offensive level we have.

“We have the players to create danger.”

Real bounced back in style from their shock loss to minnows Granada last week but are still a massive 16 points behind leaders Barcelona.

Ramos, who will be the stand-in skipper in the absence of the injured Iker Casillas, added: “We reacted well after the loss against Granada.

“Madrid have to show their faces every day. It’s true that this is the most important game of the season because we can’t look to past years.

“We are going into this super-important match and mentally the group is convinced we will beat United.”

Madrid legend Emilio Butragueno said: “It seems almost routine that Ronaldo scores a hat-trick. We are looking at a phenomenon.

“I don’t remember anything like it. And also his goals are beautiful.”

Meanwhile, Real ace Xabi Alonso is certain Madrid boss Jose Mourinho will head back to the Premier League.

He said: “He loves the way of football in England. At some stage he will return to the Premier League.”
