Brazilian midfielder Oscar believes Chelsea will not make any sacrifices in the Premier League to accommodate a busy period of fixtures, despite featuring in three competitions in nine days.

Chelsea travel to Southampton in the league on Saturday before a quick turnaround with an FA Cup quarter-final replay against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge on Monday.

The Blues then have just three days rest before they host Rubin Kazan in their Europa League quarter-final tie on Thursday and complete the busy week with another league outing against Sunderland.

Rafa Benitez may be tempted to rest a number of key players ahead of the clash with United, but Oscar insists Chelsea have the fitness to maintain their strongest side for the four matches.

“There are so many games at the moment, and all of them are important,” he said. “We have Southampton first and then Manchester United 48 hours later. But that is the way it always is at a club like Chelsea. We always have a lot of games, though maybe four in a week – as we have this week – is a bit different.

“We have to play and rest as best we can. It is a week that could be really important for our season. We have games in all three remaining competitions, but we’re not thinking that one could be more important than the other.

“We want to win all of the games and we want to do as well as we can in all the competitions. We won’t sacrifice one for the others.”
