Neymar says he is focused on his present duties despite speculation that Barcelona are in discussions with Santos.

Santos vice-president Odilio Rodrigues has stated that his club have rejected an offer from the Catalan giants for the 21-year-old striker, but talks between the two parties have continued.

Raul Sanheli, Barca’s football director, is in Brazil to continue discussions with Santos, but Neymar says he has stayed away from the negotiations.

“The truth is that I haven’t met Raul Sanheli, I was totally focused in the final of the Paulista Championship.

“I have a full agenda of matches to play so I am far away from it all. My father is in charge of negotiations.

“I am very happy with what is happening in my life. My future? I think that everything is going to be right.”

Neymar is contracted to Santos until 2014, and is unhappy with criticism of him surrounding a future away from the famous Brazilian club.

He said: “There are always two ways of looking at a situation. When I renewed my contract on 2011, everyone was delighted. I signed until 2014, but now we are near the end of that I am being criticized by people saying I had thought about this since I first signed.

“We are being accused of being bad people, this is not fair. We are going to do my departure in the best possible way.”
