Borussia Dortmund’s Mario Gotze has admitted that Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester United are “attractive” and hinted at a possible switch in the future.

The talented 20-year-old midfielder was linked heavily with a move away from BVB at the end last season, with several European heavyweights looking to  acquire his signature.

However, the Germany international extinguished that speculation when he extended his contract at the club to 2016, though he still remains open to a switch in the future.

“Clubs such as Real Madrid, Barcelona or Manchester United are attractive and you could develop at those clubs,” he told Sport1.

And despite being 20 points behind Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga, Gotze believes that his side are well on track to securing a Champions League spot.

“In the league we’re right on target to qualify again for the Champions League,” he added.

“The fact that the distance to top spot now is so huge, of course is annoying. But I must admit that Bayern have enjoyed a very, very good season.”

While Gotze has professed his admiration for United, Sir Alex Ferguson is intent on pursuing other targets this summer.
