Manchester United will go from the frying pan to the fire if they appoint Louis van Gaal

Here at Soccer Transfers we wonder if the Glazer family got to see their man in waiting’s first interview after Sky reporter Gary Cotterhill somehow managed to avoid security and get inside Holland’s World Cup training camp where van Gall is busy selecting his squad.

During just a minute or so you saw what appeared to be they many characters of the Netherlands coach going from nasty to charming as he talked about the United job, and while it will be fun for the television pundits to have a manager who likes a bit of controversy you can be sure that sparks will fly at Old Trafford next season with Wayne Rooney possibly on the telephone with Mourinho pleading for the Portuguese manager to sign him rather than Diego Costa.

Have a look at the interview for yourself and see if you think United have gone from the frying pan to the fire in appointing van Gaal.

One good thing though he did say though was when talking about Manchester United saying ‘it’s the biggest club in the world’, and that he’d love the job’.
