Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal is having floodlights installed at the Carrington training ground so that his players can train at night.

The Dutchman has already changed some of the training sessions from the morning to the afternoon and with planning permission now obtained the players will be able to train in the evenings next season.

The idea is to replicate the clubs midweek matches and acclimatize the player to playing under artificial light.

The 63-year-old trainer has already been busy planting trees to block the wind and has also installed high-tech cameras to record the training sessions.
