The Daily Mail is reporting that Manchester United is preparing a £50 million bid for Dortmund’s German international pair Mats Hummels and Ilkay Gundogan after having been told that they now see their futures away from the Signal Iduna Park.
United expects to pay £35 million for defender Mats Hummels and £15 million for midfielder Ilkay Gundogan.
United will be getting Gundogan for less due to the fact he only has one year remaining on his current contract after turning down a new £100,000 per-week deal at the North Rhine Westphalia club.
The two signings would go a long way in proving United’s ambitions of being Premier League champions next season.
