According to reports coming out of Italy Manchester United is prepared to hijack Chelsea’s attempts to sign Fiorentina winger Juan Cuadrado by offering the Italians Belgium international Adnan Januzaj as part of a deal says local Florence newspaper La Nazione.

TalkSport says that United tried to bring the Colombian winger to Old Trafford last summer but changed their minds after Fiorentina told them they wanted £26 million for the 26-year-old, but now United manager Louis van Gaal thinks he can persuade the Italians to let him join United by offering Januzaj as part of the deal.

Here at Soccer Transfers we are under the opinion that Fiorentina do not really want to sell Cuadrado and will only do so if his buyout clause is met.

We also do not believe they are interested in taking any player in part-exchange making this a deal that all suitors could walk away from at any time.
