According to news coming out of Turkey Manchester United has made a £24.7million bid to sign Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera.

The whole world knows that United is in the market for a replacement goalkeeper as United player-of-the-year David De Gea packs his bags to go and play for Real Madrid, and while talks are apparently under way with Tottenham’s Hugo Lloris Galatasaray’s Muslera has been linked with the job at Old Trafford.

Reports in Turkey suggest the bid is a “crazy” amount designed to make Galatasaray sell the 29-year-old who many suggest is just reaching his prime as a goalkeeper.

Here at ST we think this is just a story aimed at the Turkish market, and think it is far more likely to see Hugo Lloris or Ajax’s Jasper Cillessen playing for the Red Devils next season.
