Manchester United plan to spend big next summer, and after now being snubbed by Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale, who have both said they want to stay at Real Madrid, the Red Devils have turned their attention to Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.

Reports in Europe carried by the Daily Star say that manager Louis van Gaal want to make the 21-year-old his marquee summer signing, and that the money men are prepared to let him offer the Italian champions £77 million to bring the youngster back to Old Trafford.

The French international moved to Juventus from United in 2012 seeing his wages triple the amount United were offering to pay him at the time, and since the move he has gone on to become one of the biggest stars in European football winning back-to-back titles with Juventus in Italy’s Serie A, while also establishing himself in Didier Deschamp’s French national team.

Premier League rivals Manchester City, Chelsea and Arsenal have all shown interest in Pogba, but it is hard to imagine them willing to spend more than £77 million on a 21-year-old.
