Following cross town rivals Manchester City’s failed bid of £17.3 million in January for Atletico Madrid’s Uruguayan defender Jose Gimenez, Louis van Gaal has scout’s watching him with a possible summer move to Old Trafford on the cards.
According to Italian football website tuttomercatoweb the 20-year-old has shot to prominence in La Liga following some impressive displays for last season’s champions that has caught the attention of Red Devils boss Louis van Gaal.
From all we have been hearing Louis van Gaal is to be given another £150 million next summer to go out and buy the rest of the players he think is necessary to bring fame and fortune back to Old Trafford, and with the clubs defence one of the major priorities, Gimenez is appealing due not only because of his age but the fact he already has 13 caps for his country and featured in last summer’s World Cup in Brazil.
