Manger Louis van Gaal steered Manchester United to their sixth straight win on Sunday beating Liverpool 3-0 at Old Trafford, but were indebted to Spanish goalkeeper David De Gea who continued his run of stunning saves.

While speaking on the speaking on the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast, Ray Wilkins warned United manager Louis van Gaal that he cannot keep relying on the Spanish shot-stopper.

When responding to Danny Murphy’s statement that United’s defence was not good enough to challenge for the Premiership title Wilkins said: “I would agree, 100 per cent. De Gea against Southampton was unbelievable as well but he can’t keep being unbelievable. They will concede. There is no doubt about that.

“I was listening to the commentary yesterday and I heard someone say it could be the luckiest six game winning run he has ever seen.”
