Manchester City is apparently ready to battle Premiership rivals Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea for Fulham teenager Patrick Roberts according to the Daily Express.

The 18-year-old striker has come up through the Craven Cottage Academy and the England youth ranks capturing the attention of some of the Premierships top clubs as they look to increase the number of home grown players they have on their books, with the Premier League stipulating that at least eight of the first team squad must adhere to that category.

And with several of City’s British players moving on the Qatari backed club is said to be also considering bids for Liverpool’s Raheem Sterling, Burnley’s Danny Ings and Everton’s Ross Barkley.

City is in advanced talks with Fulham over a £10 million transfer for Roberts who looks destined to make a big impact in the coming years.
