Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal will take his team the United States next summer, but refuses to play games on both the East and West coast.

The Dutchman has now clashed with the clubs money men who wanted to see United play an exhausting set of matches all over the U.S.A. writes Steve Bates in the Sunday People.

LVG has let the Glazer family who own Manchester United know that he wants to have a real go at winning the Premiership title and in order to do so they must cut back on the summer schedule.

The former Holland national team coach was horrified when he took over after the World Cup to see the amount of games United were playing and all the traveling the players had to endure.

All the details of next summer’s tour are still not finalized and will need to be agreed to by van Gaal before being accepted.

Manchester United money men know how lucrative some of these games can be for the club with one match against Real Madrid in Ann Arbor, Michigan attracting a crowd of 109,318.

Last season the Red Devils played a total of six pre-season games in 19-days, and you can expect to see that number cut in half with van Gaal wanting to play three games on just one coast.
